The 2010 draft class is pitching heavy and slanted towards
the high school arms and potentially the college relievers. While there are a handful of collegiate starters that could emerge
as potential Top 10 selections, and a couple that look to be safe bets to end-up there, there are a good number of high school
power arms that could rocket up the rankings with a solid spring. Though we haven't lined-up the Top 300 yet (that starts
tonight), I fully expect these fifty pitchers to all fall into the Top 100, with another 20 or so having a strong case for
inclusion, as well. A couple notes before we move on to the list. First, Oregon State junior lefty Josh Osich was omitted
from the list due to his recent decision to undergo Tommy John surgery, which will keep him out of the he 2010 season. I expect him to draw late-round attention but ultiamtely return
to school to re-establish his value in 2011. He would have ranked 29th below. Second, our selection for best change-up was
based exclusively off of reports from PGCrosschecker.com, who did an excellent job of covering the summer leagues. It's
rare that we will completely defer to another site, and quite rare we'll heavily push a player with whom we are not already
solidly familiar, but 1) we greatly respect the work done at PGCrosschecker.com, and 2) their reports of scouts rating it
a true plus-plus offering was a wide enough difference from where we have other change-ups rated that we felt comfortable
going with Hald (Drew Cisco was the best of the prep ranks). We won't do this often, but when we do we want to be straight
forward about the decision not coming from our own analysis/appraisal. With all that said, for your consideration, our pre-season
