While the collegiate ranks are fairly light on high-ceiling
draft-eligible shortstops in 2010, this year's class is plenty deep at the high school level. As is usually the case,
a fair number of the top players in the high school class stand a good chance of shifting off the six-spot once they begin
their pro career. There's a little something for everyone in this crop, whether your looking for power, speed, defense,
athleticism, projectablity or versatility. These fifteen players will be among the most interesting to follow in the coming
months, and we could have very easily expanded the list to a Top 25 without running out of draft prospects falling in our
"early-round consideration" grouping. As with previous lists, there will be some overlap between this list and some
other positions:- Christian
